Oliver's Favorite Things

CLOTHING

Under the Nile:
Organic Egyptian cotton.

The Little Giraffe:
The Softest material ever. Especially the Blankets.

The Red Wagon:
A Berekely Retailer. We dropped a bundle there the weekend Oliver was born.

Le Petite Bateau:
Mais Oui!

Cachcach:
Susan G. bought Oliver a cute outfit for the shower (the one with the sleeping dog) and it's adorable.

Janie and Jack:
There's a Janie and Jack at The Grove. Ask for Roseanne. Also, check out the online sales. There are lots of things in the $10 range.

NURSERY ITEMS

Dr. Brown Bottles

Fisher Price Swing:
All the other swings are bold primary (ugly) colors and do not blend in with any room in our house. At four months Oliver started liking the swing less and less. Probably because he is always being picked up and held. Who would prefer a swing to that?

The Bugaboo Frog:
The ultimate Stroller/Pram combo. Thanks for the red one Grammy! Bugaboo stopped making the Frog and have added two other products to their line: The Gecko and The Cameleon. The improvement to the Frog is that the Cameleon has a telescoping handlebar which makes it better for tall dads. The stationary handlebar on The Frog is my only complaint. Get the Cameleon.

Baby Bjorn Baby Sitter 1-2-3:
A Bouncing seat. Thank you Elizabeth W!! I never would have thought to buy it myself. Oliver has grown to love it and uses it always. Oliver sits in this chair when his dads try and eat dinner.

The New Native Baby Carrier:
A staple for the fussy baby, and to get your hands free while working, or carrying around a store. Thanks Grandma Angela! At four months, Oliver didn't have much use for this any longer, but once he sits up on his own we'll probably use it again to support him on our hips.

The Diaper Dekor:
Everything has it's place.

Candeloo Night Lights:
Also available at Fred Segal. These came in handy when the power went out!

La-Z-Boy:
Swivel, Rocker, Recliners with Heat and Massage. These chairs actually fit a Father. The others are all too small for tall dads.

Pottery Barn's Sleigh Crib:
It's hard to beat the high style and competitive price. I have seen many cool cribs in stores in recent months--check out the Juvenile Shop, they have a cool arts & crafts style cribs.

Jeeto Paintings:
Oliver loves the bright colors and cute designs.

Dav Koz: Golden Slumbers CD:
The best lullaby CD ever. Avoid the second edition CD as it's kind of lame.

Great Grammy's Hand Knitted Large Swaddle Blankets:
Sorry no website available for that kind of thing. You need to be a good grandson and maybe you'll get one too.

OTHER SHOPPING

Maxine Gifts:
The BEST gift baskets! A Maxine gift basket stole the show at Oliver’s baby shower. Ask for a basket like Oliver’s and it’s sure to be a hit.

The Juvenile Shop:
A Ventura Blvd Favorite.

Baby Ant:
Good online bargains, easy to ship, and a great baby shower registry.

Posh Tots:
Interesting but expensive items for baby and nursery. A good place for idea generating.

La La Ling:
A Silver Lake Favorite. Hip Clothes and they also have Baby-Sign Language classes.

Babystyle:
A westside favorite. Aunt Christine bought Oli's Lamb Chair from there. XOX!

Manhattan Toy:
A great toy store for all ages. Oliver's favorite book "Where's the Bone" is a Manhattan Toy.

Noukies:
The cutest stuffed animals made from hyper-allergetic materials and the animals are MACHINE WASHABLE!! Oliver has the PACO stuffed animal with the music box inside. Even the musical animals can just be tossed into the wash. The company also has a lost toy policy that is really cool.
