We woke up this Fathers’ Day with our usual Sunday trip to the market. After that, Oliver took the Dads’ to breakfast at Fred 62. It was a fairly standard breakfast for Silver Lake: We pet a Labradoodle at the next table; dropped some scrambled eggs on the sidewalk; lots of sweaty people with tattoos melting in the sunshine--breakfast as usual really. Once we finished there, it was off to Oliver’s favorite little store: La La Ling! We did some damage there as you can tell from the photos below.
We did however manage to keep ourselves from buying the cutest little True Religion blue jeans. We could not justify $118 just so that Oli would have a pair of jeans to match his dad. (Papi could not justify it, but I might be going back to La La Ling this week !!)
I suppose that your asking yourself “but Daddy, what did YOU get for Fathers’ Day?” Papi is saving up to get me THIS !!!! (Or at least he had better be.) Seriously, my gift is that I get to dress Oliver up in those elephant pajamas and dinosaur boots and play with all his new toys!! Now if only he would wake up from his nap, we could stop cleaning out the garage and get down to serious playtime.
