Today was a quintessential day in Los Angeles. It started with a late lunch at Fred 62 where Drew Barrymore was in the next booth having her lunch and flirting with Oliver. Then it was off to an open house in Silver Lake where we viewed a large 4 bedroom 1930’s Craftsman home with the other Affleck (Casey) and his family. Finally once we were home and taking our evening walk we bumped into Will Farrell and his little boy walking the neighborhood in a really cool jogging stroller. I mistakenly called the little one a “her”… What can I say; I thought Will said his name was Agnes. Oops.
The Lunch was really the highlight as we have begun ordering Oliver his own meal at restaurants. When the waiter brought him a huge plate of spaghetti with olive oil and Parmesan cheese I said “is this the kids’ portion”. Papi confirmed that it was indeed the kids’ portion, although it was a serving I would not even be able to finish myself. Oliver ate more than half of it—sucking one noodle at a time at first. By the end he was just taking two handfuls and shoving piles of pasta into his mouth. He was the hit of the restaurant and people could not believe the way he just kept shoveling it in.

It’s pretty much like that at every meal now. Lately if we try to feed him he grunts and shouts for another bite before we can even secure the next spoonful. He is a bit of a Young Frankenstein. Just grunting and barking. He definitely has my patience level.
OK Enough name dropping :) I would love to have seen Oliver eating his pasta!! I can just picture him :) Actually, I would rather see a picture of him after a plate of pasta with tomato sauce!! Love those messy photos! I think Oliver is getting to that "I want to do it myself" stage :) You are no longer fast enough and he definitely has a mind of his own - I wonder where it gets that :)
I'm all for loving little Oliver BUT I'm all about showing Drew Barrymore "the love" too! Did you tell her that I was coming in town in April and that Rose said that she could have me for a few hours?? It was in the 40's this week... not bad for Rochester.
You go Oliver! Sphagetti is still your Grammy's favorite dish. I can't believe how big you have gotten. You're growing up way to fast. Tell your Dads that at least they gets to see you everyday. All I get is a Happy Baby on the computer screen. WaWaWa. Thanks for all the pictures though. They are the next best thing. I love you Oli and can't wait till our next visit! XOXOXOXOXOGRAMMY
