Christmas Eve 20005

treecrawl.jpg

The night started out fairly quiet. Papi, Daddy, and Oliver ordered a pizza and settled in with Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. There's nothing like a peaceful Christmas Eve with the family.

We had just finished our third piece of pizza, and Charlie's Grandpa was telling the tale of how the factory started working again without any of the laborers, then the phone rang. It was Grandma Angela, Aunt Loraine and Uncle Bob. They were downtown and on their way to our house. It was about 10 minutes till Oliver’s bedtime and he was exhausted but we figured “why not, it’s Christmas, right?”

Grandma brought presents for The Boy, and Aunt Loraine brought wine for the Dads’. Just when things were getting merry, the phone rang again. It was Aunt Christine, and her brother and they were just finishing with dinner in Hollywood and they wanted to visit too. Lucky for us The Boy was back in full swing from all the excitement Grandma brought, so it was perfect timing.

Aunt Christine looked beautiful as always and we sat around eating chocolates, and drinking wine until Oliver was so tired that he fell backwards (from a seated position) onto the front fender of his new toy BMW (Thanks Darin and Alex!! Er, I mean thanks for the BMW, not the fall). Oliver landed with a thump and his eyes were just looking up at the ceiling. You could tell from the expression on his face that he had totally fallen asleep and was only surprised to have woken up with all those people in his media room looking at him. He just smiled and laid there for a bit before Papi picked him up and took him upstairs to bed where he would sleep peacefully until around 3:30 am when Cousin Melissa arrived.

It’s never a Christmas party until someone passes out and hits their head on the fender of a BMW. After that drama, the house cleared out pretty quick.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Merry Christmas to Everyone! I pray that everyoned had a wonderfully, blessed Christmas today, and a Happy New Year's to come.

I just wanted to say a big, heartfelt "Thank you!" to Chris, Joe, and Oli for the beautiful card (which all the family thinks is adorable, by the way) and Christmas present :)! I appreciate all that you do for me - how kind and thoughtful you are. I'm truely blessed and honored to be a part of your family! There's no place that I'd rather be.

See you on Tuesday, Sweet Boy! Luv, Cjas :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! I spent part of Christmas Day with Grammy and Avi. We were thinking of you so much and checking the computer often for our Christmas story and pictures :)

Having a child around at Christmas makes the day extra special and I can see that Oliver made your day :) It will only get better! You are blessed to have him but you are a very big blessing for him as well. I don't know a baby who is more loved and adored. I am blessed to have you all!!!!

Well, I spent Xmas with your Great Aunt Carol who told us all about her trip to NYC to see her son for Xmas. Now we're going to see Ella, Tori and hopefully Shawn,Kyle and Kayla etc. My arms ached for you all day Oli! All I wanted to do was hold you and kiss you and read you a Xmas story. Soon my love!
