I came to the sad realization today that The Kid is starting to recognize the fact that when I visit him at lunch, I inevitably must leave once again in order to return to work. Today he just looked at me and started to cry when he knew I was leaving him. It seems that in the morning he has too much going on to focus on me leaving, but the separation anxiety in the afternoon is tougher.
As we progress through the seperation anxiety stage, I will let you know who handles it better: The Kid; or The Dads.
That can be heart wrenching Joe :( Wait until he goes to school! I had a terrible separation attack when Nick went off on the school bus for the first time :) I don't know if it is harder to leave them or have them taken away. Nick did well but some little guys have a terrible time being left behind. One little kid starts crying and the whole class goes :) When our children cry, for whatever reason, it is heart breaking. I wish I could tell you that it gets better but....
