No more cold.

I think it's safe to say that the cold is finally over. Oliver is doing well and his favorite thing to do now is to stand up, hold onto the side of his crib, and bounce. Sometimes he will shuffle himself to a different part of his crib, babbling with enthusiam the entiretime.

The other day Papi and I took turns letting him walk to each of us. He was holding our hands the entire time but at this rate he will be walking before he crawls.

When he is down on all fours he prefers the barrel-roll inlieu of the forward motion crawling affords. He can do two or three rolls at a time now. If he wants to go in a certain direction he has figured out that he can turn himself clockwise or counter-clockwise and then barrel-roll to the destination of choice. He still prefers yelling for one of us to pick him up to moving himself, but who wouldn't, right?

All of this movement has made for some close calls when he is sitting in bed with us. Now he is always in between us, or blocked by a wall of pillows. From what I understand, this is just the beginning of the mobility issues we'll be forced to deal with in the upcoming weeks.

You got that right Joe. Once Oliver is mobile all bets are off. Get out your running shoes :) Things will move very quickly from there. Gone will be the day that you could sit him down, turn your back and he would be there when you turn around :) Time for making your house "baby proof". If there is anything he shouldn't have he will find it :) If there is a dangerous area (stairs, wall plugs, stove, you name it) he will explore it :) He has been watching and storing up places he wants to explore and he will get there! You should see Kayla. She has one speed - ZOOM! :) Now come the gray hair days - be prepared :) Love, AC

I think it's time to kid proof and get the gates up! Can we go shopping when I get there and I'll buy them. Once he starts walking he will be running and I don't want anything to happen to my little Oli.
p.s. tell the writer that I need more pictures! Thanks XOXO Grammy
