Oliver needed to get out of the house, and we needed fresh produce, so we got up early, got dressed and ventured out to the Hollywood Farmers Market. It was a blustery morning (nearly 60 degrees!) but a welcome change from the sweltering heat and the fire fueled air that had taken over the area for the past few days.
Oliver makes friends wherever we go. Usually folks come by and talk to him while we are strolling, because they want to know who the cute kid is in the fancy stroller. Today, Oliver traded his comfortable ride for Daddy's arms...and boy did that make him happy. This time people said under their breath "that's an expensive shopping cart".
Papi did his usual shop for the family, and Papi helped Daddy find the organic fruits and vegetables for Oli's week of meals. Then Daddy and Oli realized that all this food was making them hungry, so they snacked on their hands (as babies, big and small, are prone to do).
Oliver, you have the biggest smile at the farmers market I've ever seen! You must know that it's Grammy's favorite thing to do when I come visit. All the fruits and veggies-kids and sounds. Grammy's so glad that you're feeling better and out and about again. You look so handsome I can't wait to hold you in my arms and take you for walks and feed you! WOW! What a beautiful, full-face smile :) You can't tell little Oliver is sick at all! Fresh air is very good when you are on the down side of an illness. Oliver is not going to want to go back into his expensive "shopping cart". HE LIKES THE PAPPI RIDE! :) Chris, thank you for the shot of Joe and Oliver. Two spoiled little boys :) Gotta love em! :)
