Oliver is still teething like a mad man. He has two bottom fronts that have erupted and more on the way. We've been giving him frozen fruit packed inside a teething net that allows him to suck, bite and chew on the fruit but not choke on the skins. Oliver likes this teether best and he really enjoys sucking the juice out of the netting once there is nothing left inside.
***The Fresh Food Feeder by Munchkin can can be found at BuyBuyBaby for about five dollars.***
He has been surptisingly good during this whole teething process. Only occasionally can you tell they even bother him at all. He still drools non-stop, and only those with thick skin will even dare to put a finger in his mouth. (Very Sharp!)
This week we hope to add some organic chicken to the diet. For those of you keeping track with what we have been introducing food-wise, the current list is as follows:
Fruits: Avocado, Banana, Apple, Pear, blueberries, Peaches,
Plums, Watermelon, Cantelope;
Vegetables: Butternut Squash; Green Beans; Eggplant;
Peas; Carrots (jar only)
Dairy: Yo Baby Yogurt, Formula (Enfamil)
Carbs: Rice Cereal and Whole Grain/Multi-Grain Cereal.
The first tooth is always the hardest :) Oliver seems to be taking the whole thing in stride. I expected nothing less :)
He has a wonderful diet! He is tolerating everything and not spitting back at you? :) You are very lucky. Such a good boy!
Re: Grandma - I'm not so sure there are more grandchildren out there :) There is Tori, Ella, Brittany, Ashley, Brandon, Kaylee, and Kyle. Lots of older grandkids still in the state too - oops, Uncle Chuck's boys are out of state now but Crystal, Nick, Justin, Wes and Jared are all still New Yorkers. You have the great grandkids beat if you don't count step-great-grandkids :) Aunt Mimi is a grandma of 5 and one more on the way - actually, I think I heard Allison is also pregnant :) You guys have to get busy to beat all that :) I suppect Wes & Erika and Jared & Katie will be increasing their families in the not too distant future also making Aunt Corinne a Grandma. Our family tree is really spreading out! Time to be thinking about a family reunion so all the kids can meet all their cousins!
Love to you all!
OK, So lets not count the "grand children" (As I am the first, and Shawn is the second, we outrank the rest anyway).
We can't count those kids that don't live in Rochester because it's not like Grandma is gonna jump in a car/plane to NYC either.
If you count just the Great Grandchildren, LA totally beats Rochester. Especially since Melissa is pregnant too.
I guess It doesn't really matter about the others. This site is called oliverlove.com isn't it? I think that's enough reason for Grandma to visit.
By the way, I was kidding about Melissa being pregnant.
I get grandma on the computer every week to look at Oliver. Tori and Ella are telling her all the time that they are very excited about meeting and playing with him. She will be OK. She just needs to get prodded to get on planes. She did OK with the short hop to NYC when we flew down there, so she will be OK!
