Wednesdays Are Made For Sleeping

SLEEPING.JPG
Oliver decided that he needed a lot of naps today. It's 4 and he's on his fourth nap. He does periodically just decide he needs rest. I'm sure he'll wake up another inch taller and another pound heavier. Frankly, his Papi's been exhausted lately too. I'm sure Daddy has been tired, but he can rest on the weekend...somebody's got to work.
Speaking of work, I was driving to my office today when "nothing really matters" came on the stereo, and it made me realize how much our wonderful son has changed the meaning of my life. While I don't necessarily believe Madonna is a philosopher, I do think that the message she learned on the birth of her daughter resonates with all parents. I was just feeling particularly sentimental about it today.

He is absolutely adorable; it's such an honor to hold Oli in my arms and dance, sing, and rock him to sleep, and to watch him grow a gazillion inches everyday (lol). I count myself blessed to be a part of your family's life! Thank you :)

He looks so peaceful and beautiful in this picture Joe. Having a child certainly does change life as you knew it in oh so many ways. Overall, for the better! Treasure the moments - they pass all too quickly. Love to you all!
