I can’t really explain what I am feeling today. I am happy because: Oliver has a great nanny; his Grammy is here to keep him completely over stimulated for the next three weeks; Chris gets home early from work and works from home a couple times a week; I don’t have to get up early because Chris is really taking charge of the mornings now; I am back to work; and Oliver is still very happy.

I am sad because: Oliver has a great nanny, Grammy is over stimulating him; and Chris will get those moments with Oli that I cherished for the past three months; I am back to work.

Just yesterday, Grammy and Cjaisey got to see Oliver grab his first toy. He was on the play mat and pulled on the vibrating elephant toy. He grabbed it, pulled it down, and laughed as he watched it vibrate back up the string. Or at least that is how it was told to me. I have been trying to get him to do that for the past few weeks. If I am sad for having missed that, what’s it going to be like when some bigger event occurs?

Is this blog beginning to sound like every other whining working parent? I’ll try and keep the whining to a minimum.
