This Morning I woke up at 5:30 am before anyone else in the house. I thought I heard the cooing of a beautiful boy in the other room so I thought I might as well get that bottle ready.
As the bottle was warming, that little boy started to coo again. He cooed just enough to turn his head and fall back asleep. He's really the sweetest thing. I open the blinds and let some natural light in. It’s a gray morning in LA and cooler than the last couple of days. (65 degrees according to the new thermometer in the kitchen window that Grammy bought for Papi's birthday.) I look in the crib and there is that smiling baby Oliver. My heart melts when I see that toothless smile.
I change his wet diaper and hold him close as I feed him his breakfast. The blue eyes on the other end of that bottle fill me with a joy never before imagined.
It's so nice that you kept these journal entries so you could post them here. They're lovely! And look how fancy you are with the linking! :)
Hello my little Oliver! What a lovely way to see you grow. I will be checking in on you every day.
Wow, Joe. This is really special. It's amazing to see how much Oliver has grown. He is so beautiful! And the pictures are great. It's incredible to see how many people Oliver's life has touched! (But don't you have any skinnier pictures of me...:-)
