Today is our Anniversary and thankfully Grammy is here to baby sit. Gee, It’s almost as if it were planned that way. This IS the first time we have been to dinner together without Oliver. We’ve been arguing lately so it’s much needed time together. Is it wrong to be thinking about the kid while I am celebrating 12 years with Chris? Is it wrong to feel guilty about not having the baby with us? Nah, it’s late and he’s sleeping anyway.
Thankfully we are at Osteria Angelini, my favorite Italian restaurant. And lucky for us it is truly NOT kid friendly. Way too crowded and too small. The tables are right on top of each other and it’s really loud. But Gino’s Grandmother can make a mean Green Lasagna. It’s awesome.
The food made me forget about the guilt (again).
Here’s why:
Lobster Pomegranate salad.
Spaghetti with Olives
Salted Branzino
Affogato for dessert.
And a big glass of Italian Brunello.
