Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
Today we had our one month check up with doctor Shulman and OLT is doing well. He has been gaining an ounce a day, just as the doctor ordered, and he weighed in at 12lbs even. Everything looks great for our boy Oliver. Next appointment, the two-month visit. Shots. Yikes.
Chris and I celebrated Oliver’s One Month with some wine, lamb chops and the 10 year anniversary video courtesy of our friend Dilson. It was great to watch the video and see our anniversary trip to Tuscany through the eyes of a crazy Brazilian. I never realized that Italy was so sideways.
It was fun revisiting Italy. Anyone who tries to watch the dvd’s should probably just start at Part II. That’s when the drinking, singing, and cross-dressing happens.
The video got me thinking about how our life was before young Oliver came into it. While not everyone could make it to Italy with us, those that did come really went the extra mile to celebrate it with us. I am so grateful for the friendships that we have. I guess When your an only child, you tend to think of your "friends" as family, and you cherish them as such.
